Should I Speak to My Vet About My Wishes?

At the end of the day, no one knows their pet better than you do, and the decision to have your pet euthanised at home is always a personal and individual choice. You are not required to inform your regular veterinary practice of your plans if you choose not to.

If you feel you need medical advice, reassurance, or a clinical consultation, we will always recommend speaking with your vet, as they hold your pets full medical history. As a dedicated pet aftercare provider, Beloved Pets does not have access to clinical records and cannot offer ongoing veterinary diagnosis or treatment advice.

If you wish, we can inform your veterinary practice of your pets passing on your behalf. This is done by email a few days after our visit, allowing your vet to update their records and helping to prevent unexpected contact at a later date that could cause further distress.
